Dr. Jason Hasty is a seasoned public education leader and the founder of Elevate K12 Leadership, LLC. With over two decades of experience in K–12 systems leadership, Jason brings deep expertise in strategic planning, operational transformation, leadership coaching, and school system reform.

Throughout his career, Jason has served in a broad range of high-impact roles, including teacher, principal, Director of Pupil Services, Executive Director of School Programs and Human Resources at the Los Angeles County Office of Education (LACOE), Chief Business Official, Interim Superintendent, and Assistant Superintendent of Business Services. In these roles, he has led large teams, overseen multimillion-dollar budgets, directed complex negotiations, and designed and implemented districtwide systems to improve outcomes for students and staff.

Jason’s consulting work is grounded in his practical knowledge of school operations and his systems-thinking approach to organizational leadership. He specializes in supporting school districts and county offices in developing and executing strategic plans, conducting gap analyses, improving business operations, strengthening governance through board advisory services, and ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal expectations—including Department of Justice reform efforts.

A certified CASBO Business Executive and graduate of the USC School Business Management Program, Jason understands the financial and regulatory complexities of public education and brings a results-driven, equity-centered lens to every engagement. He has a proven track record of supporting not only traditional education programs, but also, alternative education and juvenile court school programs, aligning resources and leadership capacity to better serve our most vulnerable youth.

Jason founded Elevate K12 Leadership to support education systems in building stronger, more equitable, and more effective organizations. His work reflects a commitment to operational excellence, transparent leadership, and creating lasting impact for the students and communities that public schools serve.
